Mauro Antonio Barreto fuses social media, accident and improvisation, melodrama and anachronism, mumblecore and shoegaze, into portraits of young people that blur the lines between fact and fiction. He directs the gallery / project space Neue Welt and is a member of the artist collective Tiger Strikes Asteroid.
